Information

ASTM A105 is a carbon steel grade widely used for piping components and forged fittings. It is intended for pressure systems operating at ambient and elevated temperatures. Like most low-alloy carbon steels, A105 offers good machinability and excellent weldability.

Typical applications include oil and gas pipelines, petrochemical plants, power stations, pressure vessels, and other high-pressure industrial systems.

Comparable steel grades include 1.0460, C22.8, P245GH, P265GH, and P285GH.

Each plug is permanently marked with its size, material grade, heat number, and pressure class. Depending on the product, the thread type may also be marked. Manufacturing and marking comply with applicable standards.
