Information

GAMBIT AF-CHEMACID is a gasket sheet recommended for acids, alkalis, and chemical industry applications.

Maximum continuous operating temperature: 150°C
Maximum working pressure: 4 MPa

Recommended media

Recommended for: acids, alkalis, ethyl alcohol, methyl alcohol, ammonia, gasoline, dry chlorine, ethane, Freon 11 & 12, Freon 22, ethylene glycol, nitric acid 20%, nitric acid 40%, phosphoric acid, formic acid, acetic acid, sulphuric acid 20%, fuming sulphuric acid, sulphuric acid 65%, hydrochloric acid 20%, hydrochloric acid 36%, soap, potassium permanganate, kerosene, mineral hydraulic oil, silicone oil, air, water, seawater, ammonium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide, calcium hydroxide.

Test under operating conditions before use with: acetone, chloroform, cyclohexanone, phenol, ethyl acetate, phosphate ester hydraulic oil, trichloroethylene.

Do not use with: aniline, benzene, wet chlorine.

How to install the gasket

Check that the gasket is the correct size and material.
Inspect the gasket for damage.
Check that the flanges are not distorted.
Clean the flange faces and fastening components (bolts, nuts, and washers).
Align the flanges and bolt holes.
Carefully insert and centre the gasket between the flanges.
Do not use sealing compounds.
Tighten the flanges, ensuring that the gasket is not over-compressed or damaged.
