PARO-GAMBIT gasket is a gasket sheet designed for steam installations.

Recommended for: steam, water, seawater, ethyl alcohol, methyl alcohol, ammonia, benzene, gasoline, dry chlorine, ethane, Freon 11 & 12, Freon 22, ethylene glycol, phosphoric acid, formic acid, acetic acid, sulphuric acid (20%), fuming sulphuric acid, hydrochloric acid (20%), soap, potassium permanganate, kerosene, mineral hydraulic oil, silicone oil, air, trichloroethylene, ammonium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide, calcium hydroxide.

Test under operating conditions before use with: acetone, wet chlorine, chloroform, cyclohexanone, phenol, nitric acid (20%), nitric acid (40%), ethyl acetate, phosphate ester hydraulic oil.

Do not use with: aniline, sulphuric acid (65%), hydrochloric acid (36%).

How to install the gasket

• Check that the gasket is the correct size and material.

• Inspect the gasket for damage.

• Check that the flanges are not distorted.

• Clean the flange faces and fastening components (bolts, nuts, and washers).

• Align the flanges and bolt holes.

• Carefully insert and centre the gasket between the flanges.

• Do not use sealing compounds.

• Tighten the flanges, ensuring that the gasket is not over-compressed or damaged.
