Information

AF-400 GAMBIT is a high-quality gasket sheet with a wide range of industrial applications. It is resistant to water, steam, oils, fuels, and salt solutions. It is commonly used in natural gas transmission systems.

Maximum continuous operating temperature: 350°C
Maximum continuous operating temperature in steam: 260°C
Maximum working pressure: 12 MPa

Recommended for: water, steam, fuels, natural gas, salt solutions, ethyl alcohol, methyl alcohol, ammonia, benzene, gasoline, dry chlorine, ethane, Freon 11 & 12, Freon 22, ethylene glycol, phosphoric acid, formic acid, acetic acid, sulphuric acid (20%), fuming sulphuric acid, hydrochloric acid (20%), soap, potassium permanganate, kerosene, mineral hydraulic oil, silicone oil, air, trichloroethylene, seawater, ammonium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide, calcium hydroxide.

Test under operating conditions before use with: acetone, wet chlorine, chloroform, cyclohexanone, phenol, nitric acid (20%), nitric acid (40%), sulphuric acid (65%), hydrochloric acid (36%), ethyl acetate, phosphate ester hydraulic oil.

Do not use with: aniline.

How to install the gasket

Check that the gasket is the correct size and material.
Inspect the gasket for damage.
Check that the flanges are not distorted.
Clean the flange faces and fastening components (bolts, nuts, and washers).
Align the flanges and bolt holes.
Carefully insert and centre the gasket between the flanges.
Do not use sealing compounds.
Tighten the flanges, ensuring that the gasket is not over-compressed or damaged.
