Information

GAMBIT AF-200G is a flexible oil-resistant gasket material, primarily recommended for steam applications. It is also resistant to water, fuels, and oils.

Maximum working pressure: 8 MPa

Recommended media

Recommended for: steam, water, fuels, oils, ethyl alcohol, methyl alcohol, ammonia, benzene, gasoline, dry chlorine, ethane, Freon 11 & 12, ethylene glycol, phosphoric acid, formic acid, acetic acid, sulphuric acid (20%), hydrochloric acid (20%), soap, kerosene, mineral hydraulic oil, silicone oil, air, trichloroethylene, seawater, ammonium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide, calcium hydroxide.

Test under operating conditions before use with: acetone, wet chlorine, chloroform, cyclohexanone, Freon 22, sulphuric acid (65%), hydrochloric acid (36%), potassium permanganate, ethyl acetate, phosphate ester hydraulic oil.

Do not use with: aniline, phenol, nitric acid (20%), nitric acid (40%), fuming sulphuric acid.

How to install the gasket

Check that the gasket is the correct size and material.
Inspect the gasket for damage.
Check that the flanges are not distorted.
Clean the flange faces and fastening components (bolts, nuts, and washers).
Align the flanges and bolt holes.
Carefully insert and centre the gasket between the flanges.
Do not use sealing compounds.
Tighten the flanges, ensuring that the gasket is not over-compressed or damaged.
