Information

The 2" Socket Weld Tee 304L Class 3000 belongs to the family of high-pressure Socket Weld (SW) fittings, where the pipe is welded into a recessed socket. The socket and pipe form a strong, leak-tight joint, providing exceptional safety, durability, and reliability.

The Socket Weld (SW) system is highly appreciated by welders because the pipe is inserted into the socket before welding, preventing movement during assembly and making welding easier. Socket weld joints are designed to withstand higher pressures than many conventional welded connections. Each fitting is permanently marked with its size, material grade, heat number, and pressure class. All SW fittings are available with a 3.1 material certificate.

304 / 304L stainless steel is the standard corrosion-resistant stainless steel grade (SS304L). It is the most versatile and widely used stainless steel, offering excellent corrosion resistance together with outstanding forming and welding properties.

Typical applications include chemical processing, food industry, architecture, and automotive industries.

Also known as: 1.4301, 1.4306, 1.4307, AISI304L, 0H18N9, X5CrNi18-10, A2.
