Information

The 2" Socket Weld Coupling 316L Class 3000 ANSI B16.11 belongs to the group of high-pressure Socket Weld fittings, where the pipe is inserted into the socket before welding. The welded socket creates a strong, leak-tight connection. The Socket Weld (SW) system provides safety, durability, and permanent pipe joints. SW fittings also make it easy to select the correct pressure class for the installation.

Each fitting is permanently marked with its size, material grade, heat number, and pressure class. All Socket Weld fittings are available with a 3.1 material certificate.

Advantages

  • Pipe end preparation without beveling
  • No special preparation required before welding
  • Alternative to threaded fittings
  • Permanent and leak-tight connection
  • Suitable for high-pressure applications

Marking

Each fitting is permanently marked with:

  • Size
  • Material grade
  • Heat number
  • Pressure class
  • Thread type (where applicable)

Manufacturing and marking comply with the applicable standards.

Material

316 / 316L stainless steel is one of the most widely used corrosion-resistant stainless steels. It offers excellent weldability and formability.

Alternative material designations: DIN 1.4401, DIN 1.4404, SS316, SS316L, AISI 316, AISI 316L.
