304 / 304L stainless steel is the standard corrosion-resistant stainless steel grade (SS304L). It is the most versatile and widely used stainless steel, offering excellent forming and welding properties.

Applications: Corrosive environments, chemical industry, food processing industry, architecture, and automotive industry.

Also known as: 1.4301, 1.4306, 1.4307, AISI304L, 0H18N9, X5CrNi18-10, A2 according to PN-54/H-86020 (superseded by PN-EN 10088).

The main advantages of 304 / 304L stainless steel include its non-magnetic properties, excellent ductility, high impact strength, outstanding weldability, good mechanical strength, and wide operating temperature range.
