Properities of PTFE gasket

The DN500 PN16 PTFE gasket offers a range of interesting chemical and thermal properties that are not found in other thermoplastics. Among these properties is high chemical resistance, which PTFE owes to the high binding energy of carbon and fluorine atoms. It maintains chemical resistance even at elevated temperatures.

In addition to applications in the food and chemical industries, due to its insulation capacity at high frequencies, it is suitable for electrical applications.

PTFE gaskets are practically unaffected by solvents, with the exception of fluorine and some of its compounds. They are used in demanding and challenging environments.

Medium Resistance: Outstanding resistance to chemicals, cold water, hot water, steam, alcohol, saline solutions, weak acids, and bases.
