Information:
Steel grade A105 – is carbon steel very often used for components of the pipelines and fittings, e.g. nipple 1.1/2” NPT hexagonal, cl. 3000 A105. This grade of carbon steel is used for pressure systems for ambient and higher temperatures. It has good machining properties as in the case of each low-alloyed steel. A105 grade is well weldable steel.
Application: grade used for transport of crude oil and gas, in petrochemical plants, power plants, pressure tanks etc.
Properties similar to grades: 1.0460 C22.8 P245GH P265GH P285GH
Marking: each plug is stamped with size, grade, melt and pressure rating. Sometimes also with the type of thread (execution and marking is in compliance with the applicable standards).
The plugs ensure the safety and durability of the system.
Advantages: an easy selection of thread and steel grade
Disadvantages: unavailable in metric dimensions
