Information About Ball Valves
Nipple ball valve 2 1/2'' brass has high tightness and is very easy to operate as a result, it is used in all industries and households. It is noteworthy that nipple ball valves operate on an open/close basis.
Undoubtedly, the advantages also include the fact that they come in many sizes: 1/4'' - 3/8'' - 1/2'' - 3/4'' - 1'' - 1 1/4''- 1 1/2''- 2'' - 2 1/2'' - 3'' - 4''.
Besides, they are widely available and easy to use.
Brass, from which the valves are made, is an alloy of copper and zinc. It has an orange-yellow color. It is undoubtedly important that it is resistant to corrosion, weather conditions and seawater. In addition, it is an alloy with very good ductility and plastic properties. It melts at temperatures below 1000 °C. In summary, it can be found everywhere - in construction, automotive, chemical, shipbuilding as well as metalwork. It can be used to make musical instruments, monuments, coins as well as valves, washers, screws of all kinds.
Properties of the PTFE seal that is used in the ball valve:
- high thermal resistance
- no moisture absorption
- medium: outstanding resistance to chemicals, cold water, hot water, steam, alcohol, salt solutions, weak acids and bases
