Information

Grade 316 / 316L is undoubtedly a very popular austenitic stainless steel with high corrosion resistance. It unquestionably offers excellent welding and forming properties. This steel was originally developed for the paper industry because it proved highly resistant to sulphur compounds used in paper processing. Due to its anti-corrosion properties, austenitic stainless steel 316 is certainly the most commonly used grade among corrosion-resistant steels. It is worth noting that this grade is superior to 304 / 304L.

Without doubt, among the advantages of this steel grade it should be mentioned that it is non-magnetic, has excellent ductility, impact strength, outstanding weldability, good mechanical strength, and suitability for operation over a wide temperature range.

The 1" NPT Stainless Steel AISI 316 Coupling belongs to the group of threaded fittings that guarantee safety and durability of installations.
