Information

Socket Weld (SW) fittings belong to the group of “high-pressure fittings”, where the pipe is welded into a socket (pocket). The socket welded to the pipe creates a leak-tight installation structure. The Socket Weld (SW) system guarantees the safety, durability and permanent integrity of the installation. SW fittings make it easy to select the installation pressure. Each fitting is marked with its size, grade, heat number and pressure class. All SW fittings have 3.1 certificates.

A105 steel grade – is a carbon steel very commonly used in piping components, flanges and fittings. This carbon steel grade is intended for operation at ambient and higher temperatures and for use in pressure installations. Good machinability, as with any low-alloy steel. Weldable steel.

There are limitations on the use of A105 grade. The weight of a forging made from A105 material should not exceed 4540 kg. Components heavier than 4540 kg are manufactured according to ASTM A266.

The grade is used in socket weld fittings, elbows, tees, couplings, unions, flanges, connections, etc.

Application: grade used for oil and gas transmission, in petrochemical plants, power plants, etc.

Grades with similar properties: 1.0460 C22.8 P245GH P265GH
