Information

Reducing Coupling 1 1/2'' x 2'' Stainless Steel 316 PN40 is manufactured from a very popular stainless steel with high corrosion resistance. It has excellent welding and forming properties. This steel was originally developed for the paper industry because it proved highly resistant to sulfur compounds used in paper processing.

Other designations for this material: DIN 1.4408, SS316, AISI316, AISI316L, SS316L.

Applications: heat exchangers, pharmaceutical equipment, dairy equipment, brewing industry, marine fittings, coastal architecture, food industry.

Advantages of Grade 316 / 316L: non-magnetic steel, excellent ductility, excellent impact toughness, excellent weldability, good strength, wide operating temperature range.
