Reducing Coupling 1 1/2'' x 1/2'' Stainless Steel 316 is manufactured from the widely used 316 stainless steel, offering high corrosion resistance. It has excellent welding and forming properties. This steel was originally developed for the paper industry because of its high resistance to sulfur compounds used in paper processing.

Other designation: DIN 1.4401, SS316, AISI316.

Applications: heat exchangers, pharmaceutical equipment, dairy equipment, brewing industry, marine fittings, coastal architecture, food industry.

Advantages of Grade 316: non-magnetic steel, excellent ductility, excellent impact toughness, excellent weldability, good strength, wide operating temperature range.
