What is the Purpose of a Steel Halfcoupling?
Half-sockets are commonly used in hydraulics for connecting pipes, serving as connections to ball valves, needle valves, sensors, etc. A half-socket can be used in installations for transporting media. Depending on the steel grade, it is suitable for the flow of water, chemicals, and gas. Steel half-sockets for welding are also used in heating systems, such as in central heating installations (C.O.).
How to Install a Steel Half-coupling?
The steel half-socket is welded on one side, while the other side can be screwed with a valve, branch, nipple, or sensor. The half-socket has a BSP thread.
