Information about the 1/2" 150lb 316L B16.5 Stainless Steel Weld Neck Flange

Grade 316L is undoubtedly a very popular stainless steel (austenitic) with high corrosion resistance. It has excellent welding and forming properties. The steel was originally developed for the paper industry because it was found to be highly resistant to sulfur compounds used in paper processing. Due to its corrosion-resistant properties, austenitic 316 steel is one of the most commonly used corrosion-resistant steels. It is worth noting that it is a higher grade than 304L.

Among the advantages of this steel grade, it should be noted that it is non-magnetic, with excellent ductility, impact strength, excellent weldability, good strength and suitability for operation over a wide temperature range.
