Information about the Socket Weld Union
Union 1/4" Socket Weld A105 Class 3000 is a two-piece fitting designed for quick connection and disconnection of hydraulic piping systems.
Socket Weld (SW) fittings belong to the family of high-pressure fittings where the pipe is welded into a socket. The welded socket creates a leak-tight piping system. The Socket Weld (SW) system provides safety, durability and permanent joint integrity. Socket Weld fittings make it easy to select the correct pressure class. Every fitting is marked with the size, material grade, heat number and pressure class. All SW fittings are available with a 3.1 certificate.
A105 is a carbon steel commonly used for piping components, flanges and fittings. This carbon steel grade is intended primarily for pressure systems operating at ambient and elevated temperatures. It offers good machinability and excellent weldability.
