Information

Socket Weld (SW) fittings belong to the group of high-pressure forged fittings, where the pipe is welded into a recessed socket. The welded socket creates a strong, leak-tight connection, ensuring maximum safety, durability, and reliability.

The Socket Weld (SW) system makes it easy to select the correct pressure class for the installation. Every fitting is permanently marked with its size, material grade, heat number, and pressure class. All Socket Weld fittings are available with a 3.1 material certificate.

Advantages of Socket Weld fittings

  • The pipe does not require beveling before welding.
  • No special preparation is required before installation.
  • An excellent alternative to threaded fittings.

Limitations

  • Not recommended for radioactive installations.

Available Sizes

1/8", 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1 1/4", 1 1/2", 2", 2 1/2", 3", 3 1/2", and 4".

304 / 304L stainless steel is the standard corrosion-resistant stainless steel grade (SS304L). It is the most versatile and widely used stainless steel, offering excellent corrosion resistance together with outstanding forming and welding properties.

Typical applications include chemical processing, food industry, architecture, and automotive industries.

Also known as: 1.4301, 1.4306, 1.4307, AISI304L, 0H18N9.
