Information
Lap Joint flanges are used in conjunction with stub pipes. They are used in installations that require frequent cleaning and/or inspection.
Advantages of flanges:
- Free rotation around the pipe facilitates lining up opposite flange bolt holes.
- Lack of contact with the fluid in the pipe often allows the use of inexpensive carbon steel flanges with corrosion-resistant pipe.
- In installations that erode or corrode quickly, flanges can be stored for reuse
Steel grade 316 / 316L - is undoubtedly a very popular stainless steel with high corrosion resistance. It has excellent welding and forming properties. It is noteworthy that steel grade 316 and 316L are of better quality than steel grade 304.
