Information

316/316L stainless steel is a highly corrosion-resistant austenitic stainless steel with excellent welding and forming properties. Originally developed for the paper industry, it demonstrated exceptional resistance to sulphur compounds used in paper processing. Thanks to its outstanding corrosion resistance, 316 stainless steel has become one of the most widely used stainless steel grades and offers higher corrosion resistance than 304/304L.
