Information

Grade 316 / 316L – is undoubtedly a very popular stainless steel (austenitic) with high corrosion resistance. It has unquestionably excellent welding and forming properties. The initial steel produced for the paper industry, as it has been shown to be highly resistant to sulfur compounds used in paper processing. Certainly due to its anti-corrosion properties, 316 austenitic steel, is the most widely used steel of the corrosion-resistant group. It is noteworthy that it is a superior grade to 304 / 304L.

Without a doubt, among the advantages of this grade of steel, it should be mentioned that it is a non-magnetic steel, with excellent ductility, impact strength, excellent weldability and good strength. Additionally, grade 316/L is perfect for wide temperature ranges.
