Information

304L is a standard corrosion-resistant stainless steel (SS304L). It is one of the most versatile and widely used stainless steel grades, available in a broad range of industrial products. It offers excellent forming and welding properties.

The main advantages of 304L include its non-magnetic properties, excellent ductility, high impact strength, outstanding weldability, good mechanical strength and a wide operating temperature range.

Alternative material designations: 1.4301, 1.4306, 1.4307, AISI304L, 0H18N9, X5CrNi18-10, A2 according to the former PN-54/H-86020 standard (replaced by EN10088).

Pipe Stub 2" NPT 304L Stainless Steel 76mm is suitable for corrosive environments, chemical processing, food industry, architecture, automotive applications and paint manufacturing. Grade 304L offers excellent resistance to food products, sterilizing solutions, most organic chemicals and dyes, as well as many inorganic chemicals.

Because the NPT tapered thread is machined on a conical surface, it provides a tight mechanical seal, often without the need for additional sealing compounds.
