Information
Lap Joint flanges are used in conjunction with stub pipes. They are used in installations that require frequent cleaning and/or inspection.
Advantages of flanges:
- Free rotation around the pipe facilitates lining up opposite flange bolt holes.
- Lack of contact with the fluid in the pipe often allows the use of inexpensive carbon steel flanges with corrosion-resistant pipe.
- In installations that erode or corrode quickly, flanges can be stored for reuse.
Steel grade A105 - is a carbon steel undoubtedly often used in piping components, flanges and fittings. This grade of carbon steel is primarily used for ambient and higher temperatures, and to work in pressure installations. Good machinability, as with any low-alloy steel. Noteworthy is the fact that it is a weldable steel
