Information
Type 02 lap joint flanges are designed for use with Type 32 weld-on stub ends. They are commonly used in installations that require frequent cleaning and inspection.
Advantages of Lap Joint Flanges
- Free rotation around the pipe makes alignment of the opposite bolt holes much easier.
- Since the flange does not come into contact with the process medium, a lower-cost carbon steel flange can often be used together with a corrosion-resistant pipe or stub end.
- In installations exposed to rapid corrosion, the backing flanges can often be reused after replacing the stub end.
