Information

Type 02 loose flanges are used in combination with Type 32 flat welding rings. They are used in installations that require frequent cleaning and/or inspection.

Advantages of flanges:

Free rotation around the pipe makes it easier to align opposing flange bolt holes.
No contact with the fluid in the pipe often allows inexpensive carbon steel flanges to be used with corrosion-resistant pipes.
In installations subject to rapid corrosion, the flanges can be retained for reuse.
