NBR is an oil-resistant sheet made of vulcanized rubber compound.

  • option: without reinforcement; reinforced with 1 or 2 inserts
  • thickness: 1–12mm
  • color: black
  • temperature range: -40°C to +100°C
  • advantage: good resistance to oils, greases, hydraulic fluids, and aliphatic hydrocarbons. Good compatibility with propane, butane, alcohols, and aqueous salt solutions.
  • limitations: not recommended for use with esters, glycol, benzene, or chlorinated hydrocarbons

How to Install the Gasket

  1. Check that the gasket is the correct size and material.
  2. Check that the gasket has no damage.
  3. Check that the flanges are not distorted.
  4. Remove all dirt from the flange surfaces and fastening components such as bolts, nuts, and washers.
  5. Align the flanges and bolt holes.
  6. Carefully insert the gasket between the flanges.
  7. Centre the gasket between the flanges.
  8. Do not use sealing compounds.
  9. Tighten the flanges, making sure the gasket is not over-compressed or damaged.
