About the KLINGERSIL C-4500 DN32 PN10–16 Gasket

KLINGERSIL C-4500 is a high-performance gasket material designed for chemical industry applications involving high temperatures and high pressures.

Recommended media

Recommended for: high-temperature alkaline media, superheated (unsaturated) steam, methanol, ammonia, benzene, gasoline, wet chlorine, ethane, ethylene, Freon 12, Freon 22, ethylene glycol.

Do not use with: aniline, cyclohexane, phenol, nitric acid (20%).

Test under operating conditions before use with: acetone, dry chlorine, chloroform, nitric acid.

How to install the gasket

Check that the gasket is the correct size and material.
Inspect the gasket for damage.
Check that the flanges are not distorted.
Clean the flange faces and fastening components (bolts, nuts, and washers).
Align the flanges and bolt holes.
Carefully insert and centre the gasket between the flanges.
Do not use sealing compounds.
Tighten the flanges, ensuring that the gasket is not over-compressed or damaged.
