Information

316Ti is a titanium-stabilized stainless steel with a low carbon content. It can be used in highly corrosive environments. Its chemical composition and mechanical properties are very similar to those of 316 stainless steel. The addition of titanium helps reduce intergranular corrosion after exposure to temperatures ranging from 425°C to 815°C.

1.4571 stainless steel has an average composition of approximately 0.06% carbon, 17% chromium, 12% nickel, 2% molybdenum and less than 1% titanium.

Other designations: AISI 316Ti, 1.4571, SS316Ti, X6CrNiMoTi17-12-2.

Applications of 1.4571 stainless steel include the food industry, brewing industry, transport equipment, marine tanks, LPG storage tanks, petrochemical industry, oil industry, pulp and paper industry and mining industry.

Advantages of 316Ti stainless steel include non-magnetic properties, excellent ductility, excellent impact strength, excellent weldability, good mechanical strength and a wide operating temperature range.
