Sintered Bronze Bushing 6 × 9 × 4 mm SINTB is a self-lubricating plain bearing manufactured from porous sintered bronze impregnated with lubricating oil. During operation, the oil forms a continuous lubricating film, reducing friction and wear while ensuring quiet, maintenance-free performance.

Operating Temperature

The recommended operating temperature range is -12°C to +100°C. Operation outside this range may require additional lubrication.

Re-lubrication

To prevent oil loss, avoid contact with absorbent materials and store bushings in sealed plastic packaging. Additional lubrication is generally unnecessary but may be beneficial under severe operating conditions. Re-impregnation can be achieved by immersing the bushing in oil heated to 80°C until the oil cools.

Shaft Recommendations

For optimum performance, use hardened shafts or shafts with a finely finished surface. When used with stainless steel shafts, a polished or chrome-plated surface is recommended to reduce wear. Recommended shaft tolerance: h6–h9, depending on the bushing tolerance (E7).

Machining

Any additional machining should be performed using carbide (K20/01) or diamond-tipped tools. Recommended cutting speed: 100–150 m/min. The bearing surface should not be ground or cut, as this can clog the oil pores essential for self-lubrication.
