Operating Temperature

Operating temperature range: -12°C to +100°C.

Exceeding these temperatures may require additional lubrication.

Oil Loss – Additional Lubrication

Avoid contact with absorbent materials to prevent oil loss. Store bushings in sealed plastic packaging.

Additional lubrication is normally not required but may be beneficial under severe operating conditions. This can be achieved by immersing the bushing in oil heated to 80°C and leaving it submerged until the oil cools.

Shaft Recommendations

Shafts should preferably be hardened or have a high-quality surface finish.

When using stainless steel shafts, polishing or chrome plating is recommended to reduce wear.

Recommended shaft tolerance: h6–h9, depending on the E7 bushing tolerance.

Machining

Any additional machining should be performed using carbide (K20/01) or diamond-tipped tools.

• Cutting speed: 100–150 m/min

The bearing surface should not be ground or cut, as this may clog the material pores required for self-lubrication.

Additional lubrication may be required in applications involving very high loads, temperatures or speeds.
