Information:
Plain Bushing SOB 25x35x20 SANKYO – Maintenance-free SANKYO plain bearings are made of very hard bronze (base material) and contain specially arranged solid lubricant inserts (graphite). The graphite is positioned to correspond with the direction of sliding. The base material carries the load, while the solid lubricant provides lubrication throughout the service life of the bearing.
The graphite elements must be able to lubricate the bronze sliding surface. During bearing movement, a thin film (microns) of graphite spreads over the bronze. This means that clearance is always required between the two sliding surfaces for the bronze with graphite to operate effectively.
Maximum recommended operating temperature: 300°C (the bearings are manufactured at a temperature of 1000°C).
At operating temperatures above 100°C, greater clearance should be provided to compensate for thermal expansion.
Required maintenance usually consists of checking wear once every 6 months to 2 years, depending on operating time and load. It is recommended to relubricate the parts each time they are disassembled. Do not remove the existing layer of solid lubricant. Continuous grease injection is not necessary, as the parts are maintenance-free if all requirements for the use of bronze with solid lubricant are observed.
Machining:
SANKYO bronze is easy to machine. In general, there is no significant difference between machining these products and ordinary steel. No special tools are required, but sharp and preferably new tools should be used.
When using HSS or carbide tools, cooling lubricants are recommended. During rough milling, machine to approximately 0.3 mm, as with ordinary steel. During milling / rough milling, use a low feed rate and a shallow depth of cut.
We offer a wide range of bushings. If you have any questions, contact us at biuro@polberis.pl or call +48 63 261 42 02. We will prepare an offer for you.
