Information about the 5" Carbon Steel Pipe Cap

Dennice zaślepiające – montowane na końcach rurociągów w celu ich zamknięcia. Dennice spawa się bezpośrednio do rury doczołowo. 

Pipe caps are installed at the ends of pipelines to provide a permanent closure. They are butt welded directly to the pipe.

The pipe cap is manufactured from A234 WPB carbon steel, which is suitable for medium and high-temperature service. It is a standard material commonly used for the production of pipe fittings and is more widely used internationally than in Poland. Comparable material grades include K18, A106, and St45.8.

The WPB designation means:

• W – weldable
• P – pressure service
• B – minimum specified yield strength

A234 WPB is one of the most commonly used materials for joining carbon steel pipes in pressure piping systems.

The main advantages of this steel grade include excellent weldability and very good cold and hot forming properties.
