Information

KLINGERSIL C-4430 gasket is a sealing material for high-pressure applications with high compressive strength. It is characterized by high resistance to water, steam, oils, and hydrocarbons.

Applications (media): water, steam, oils, hydrocarbons, methanol, ammonia, benzene, gasoline, wet chlorine, ethane, ethylene, Freon 12, Freon 22, ethylene glycol.

Do not use with: aniline, cyclohexane, phenol, cresol.

Before use, carry out an operational test with: acetone, dry chlorine, chloroform, 20% nitric acid.

How to install the gasket?

• Check that the gasket is the correct size and material.
• Check that the gasket is free from damage.
• Check that the flanges are not distorted.
• Remove all dirt from the flange surfaces and fastening elements such as bolts, nuts, and washers.
• Align the flanges and bolt holes.
• Carefully insert the gasket between the flanges.
• Center the gasket between the flanges.
• Do not use sealing compounds.
• Join the flanges, ensuring that the gasket has not been over-compressed or damaged.
