Information about KLINGERSIL C4430 Gasket

KLINGERSIL C-4430 is a high-pressure gasket material with excellent compression strength. It provides outstanding resistance to water, steam, oils, and hydrocarbons.

• Application (media): drinking water, steam, oils, hydrocarbons, methanol, ammonia, benzene, petrol, wet chlorine, ethane, ethylene, Freon 12, Freon 22, ethylene glycol.
• Do not use with: aniline, cyclohexane, phenol, cresol.
• Test under operating conditions before use with: acetone, dry chlorine, chloroform, 20% nitric acid.
• Standard sheet dimensions:
• Dimensions: 1000 × 1500 mm, 2000 × 1500 mm
• Thickness: 0.5mm, 1.0mm, 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 3.0mm
• Manufactured according to: DIN 2690 / DIN EN 1514-1
• Fire-resistant sheet.
• The material has a low-adhesion surface.

How to install the gasket?

1. Check that the gasket is the correct size and material.
2. Check that the gasket is free from damage.
3. Ensure that the flange faces are not distorted.
4. Remove all dirt from the flange faces and fastening components such as bolts, nuts and washers.
5. Align the flanges and bolt holes.
6. Carefully insert the gasket between the flanges. Centre the gasket correctly.
7. Do not use sealing compounds.
8. Tighten the flanges while ensuring that the gasket is not over-compressed or damaged.
