Information about Gasket DN100 PN25 PN40 EN1514-1 C-4400 KLINGERSIL:

KLINGERSIL C-4400 is a universal high-pressure sealing material. It provides excellent resistance to refrigeration media.

• Application (media): chemical industry, food industry, water, drinking water, steam, oils, gases, salt solutions, fuels, alcohols, organic acids, inorganic acids, lubricants, refrigerants, hydrocarbons, methanol, ammonia, benzene, petrol, wet chlorine, ethane, ethylene, Freon 12, Freon 22, ethylene glycol.
• Do not use with: aniline, cyclohexane, phenol, 20% nitric acid.
• Test under operating conditions before use with: acetone, dry chlorine, chloroform, cresol.
• Standard sheet sizes:
• Dimensions: 1000 × 1500 mm, 2000 × 1500 mm
• Thickness: 2.0 mm, 3.0 mm
• Manufactured according to: DIN 2690 / DIN EN 1514-1
• Fire-resistant sheet.

How to install the gasket?

• Check that the gasket is the correct size and material.
• Check that the gasket is free from damage.
• Ensure that the flange faces are not distorted.
• Remove all dirt from the flange faces and fastening components such as bolts, nuts and washers.
• Align the flanges and bolt holes.
• Carefully insert the gasket between the flanges. Centre the gasket correctly.
• Do not use sealing compounds.
• Tighten the flanges while ensuring that the gasket is not over-compressed or damaged.
