Elliptical End Cap 48.3 × 3.0 mm 1.4571 DIN 28011 is designed for closing industrial piping systems, handrails, guardrails, and steel pipes. It helps prevent media leakage, contamination inside the pipe, and the ingress of insects or other unwanted particles. The end caps are manufactured from sheet metal and feature a seamless construction. They are corrosion-resistant and available in a wide range of sizes.

How to install the end cap?

The end cap is designed for butt welding. Before welding, the pipe surface should be thoroughly cleaned.

Material

1.4571 (316Ti) stainless steel is a titanium-stabilized stainless steel with a low carbon content. It is suitable for highly corrosive environments and has mechanical properties similar to standard 316 stainless steel. The addition of titanium reduces the risk of intergranular corrosion after heating within the temperature range of 425–815°C.

Typical chemical composition includes approximately 0.06% carbon, 17% chromium, 12% nickel, 2% molybdenum, and less than 1% titanium.
