Information about the flange

SLIP-ON flange – is a welding flange. How to weld it? Slide it onto the pipe. It is slightly wider so that the pipe fits inside. Weld it at the bottom and top of the flange. It is manufactured according to the American standard B16.5.

During welding, maintain a gap between the end of the pipe and the flange to avoid damaging the flange face, as shown in the drawing.

Steel grade 316L – is a very popular stainless steel with high corrosion resistance. It has excellent welding and forming properties. Initially produced for the paper industry because it showed high resistance to sulfur compounds used in paper processing.

Other name: DIN 1.4401 / 1.4404, SS 316, AISI316 / AISI316L, SS316 / SS316L

Applications: heat exchangers, pharmaceutical equipment, dairy industry, brewing industry, marine fittings, coastal architecture, food processing industry.
