What Is the Difference Between a DIN 910 Plug and a DIN 908 Plug?

🔩 DIN 910 Plug

• the plug has an external hexagonal head,

• it is tightened with a standard open-end or socket wrench,

• it is suitable where there is plenty of space for a tool,

• it allows easy removal even after many years of operation.

🔩 DIN 908 Plug

• the plug has an internal hexagonal socket (Allen),

• it is tightened with an Allen key,

• after installation, it practically does not protrude above the surface,

• ideal for places with limited space and where aesthetics are important.

What Do They Have in Common?

✅ parallel thread,

✅ flange (bund),

✅ sealing with a sealing washer, most commonly DIN 7603,

✅ used for closing openings in hydraulic, pneumatic, oil and industrial installations.
