P235GH and P265GH Grade Pipes
These are two of the most popular high-temperature steel grades, which are often used in industries such as power generation, petrochemical or chemical industry.
P235GH steel grade is a low-carbon steel characterized by good high-temperature strength and good weldability. It is often used for the production of pipes, heat exchangers, pressure vessels and other components operating at high temperatures. Its main features are corrosion resistance and thermal stability.
P265GH steel grade is a high-temperature steel, but with slightly higher strength parameters compared to P235GH. It is equally weldable and resistant to high temperatures, but thanks to its higher strength it can be used in more demanding conditions.
Differences between P235GH and P265GH steel grades
As for the differences between these two grades, they mainly concern strength parameters and applications. P265GH is stronger and can be used in more extreme conditions, while P235GH is an excellent choice for less heavily loaded installations.
A pipe made of 16Mo3 steel grade is a high-quality steel pipe, often used in industries where resistance to high temperatures and pressure is required. It is a molybdenum alloy pipe, which makes it particularly resistant to corrosion and chemical agents.
P235GH, P265GH and 16Mo3 steel grades are boiler steel.
The main properties of boiler steel are:

High resistance to high temperatures – this steel is resistant to high temperatures, which allows it to be used in equipment operating in the range from approximately 250°C to even 650°C, depending on the grade.

Good weldability – despite its high strength, this steel is relatively easy to weld, which is important when assembling large structures.

Resistance to fatigue and cracking – boiler steel is designed to withstand repeated heating and cooling cycles without cracking or deformation.

Mechanical properties – it is characterized by appropriate hardness, ductility and tensile strength, which ensures its durability in difficult operating conditions.

Resistance to chemical agents – depending on its chemical composition, the steel may be resistant to acids, alkalis or other aggressive substances.
It is worth noting that the properties of boiler steel are strictly defined by standards such as PN-EN or ASTM, which ensures its appropriate quality and safety in industrial applications.
Pipes are also divided into welded and seamless pipes.
The differences between welded and seamless pipes are quite an important aspect. Welded pipes are manufactured from rolled sheet metal that is welded, which means that they have a visible or hidden seam along their length. Seamless pipes, on the other hand, are made from a single piece of metal, which makes them more uniform in terms of structure and strength. For this reason, seamless pipes are often chosen for applications where maximum strength and the absence of weak points are required.
Advantages of welded pipes: they are usually cheaper to manufacture and available in a wide range of sizes. - they can be manufactured in lengths of up to several metres without the need for joining. - they are suitable for many applications, particularly where extreme pressure resistance is not required.
Advantages of seamless pipes: they have higher pressure resistance and better corrosion resistance. - they are more reliable in high-pressure and high-temperature applications. - they are characterized by better surface quality and lower susceptibility to cracking.
