FKM FPM Metal-Rubber Washers

Stainless steel metal-rubber washers (abbreviated as MET-GUM) - are used for sealing metric and inch threads. Thanks to the appropriate rubber profile, they perfectly seal external threads, steel threaded fittings, nipples, connectors, unions, etc.

What are Viton metal-rubber washers made of?

• The metal part is: stainless steel

• The flexible part is: fluorocarbon rubber FKM/FPM (Viton) vulcanized to the metal ring

This combination provides corrosion resistance (stainless steel) and chemical and temperature resistance (FKM/FPM)

What are these seals called abroad?

The most common names: bonded seal, rubber bonded washer, metal rubber sealing washer, stainless steel Viton bonded washer, stainless steel FKM bonded seal, dowty seal.

Typical operating ranges for seals:

• continuous operation: approx. –20°C to +200°C

• short-term peaks: up to approx. +230°C (depending on the manufacturer and type of medium)
